About Pam
Pam Seide is a nationally recognized long-term care specialist. This small town Missouri girl came to southern California nearly 30 years ago and married soon after. Following a career in pharmaceutical and medical devices marketing, Pam became a full time mother for several years. While raising a family she volunteered on PTSA, Booster Club, Church, and Cub Scout boards, and even coached Little League for a couple of years. A player from her first team was recently drafted by the Washington National's organization!
When Pam decided to re-enter the work force her family experience helped guide her career path. Her parents and a number of aunts and uncles were already in their 80's. The importance of protecting peoples' financial futures from the high risk of long-term care was apparent.
Pam began her career in the long-term care industry in 2001. She had first-hand knowledge of the financial, physical and emotional issues involving long-term care since her elderly parents and a parent-in-law have required round the clock care at times over the years. She has personally provided some of their care, as well as coordinated care for them. This has given her a unique perspective and deeper understanding of the impact of long-term care on her clients and their families.
Her dedication and commitment to meeting her clients' needs have earned her recognition by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance as one of the industry's top long-term care specialists in California and the nation. This success comes from her ability to listen and work with clients, guiding them to the best policy to fit their needs and budget. Pam works with all the top insurance companies so she can help clients' determine if long-term care insurance is appropriate for them, if they can health qualify for coverage, and then help them shop for the best coverage at the best value. She takes her ethical and fiduciary responsibility seriously to make sure her clients are given the best recommendations.
Her relationship with her clients is the most important aspect of her career, and she enjoys creating lasting bonds with every client. "One of the most satisfying experiences I have had as an agent was with a couple I wrote several years ago. The wife later developed physical issues and dementia. The husband was understandably distraught over his wife's illness, but was so relieved that they had coverage for her care. He thanked me profusely for helping them buy policies and said, 'you are an angel that was sent to us'. I cannot imagine having a more satisfying career."
Pam feels that her clients are really extended family. She attributes that feeling to growing up in a small town in Missouri where relationships were of close and utmost importance. She received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Missouri State University. She is licensed in the states of California, Missouri, and New Jersey, and is certified in the Partnership programs. Pam is married with two sons: the older is in law school; the younger is a college student. Pam and her family are long time residents of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
